Dr. Ed Walsh graduated from the University of Limerick with an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Engineering Science. After gaining work experience in ABB compressor design he returned to the University of Limerick where he is currently a Senior Research Fellow. He currently leads the aerodynamic team within the Stokes Research Institute. His primary interests are focused upon heat transfer and fluid mechanics at the macro and micro scale systems. His main areas of interest from both theoretical and experimental perspectives include, microfluidics, constructal theory, thermodynamics entropy, instrumentation and microscale heat transfer.
