Dr. Reena Cole has an honours BEng in Mechanical Engineering awarded in 1996 from the University of Limerick. She was awarded a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, also from UL, in 2001 for her thesis "Measurement and Prediction of Operational Electronic Component Temperatures". She has authored or co-authored 12 publications and has also reviewed papers for both the ASME Journal of Electronic Packaging and for the ASME Heat Transfer Conference 2001. She commenced lecturing in the University of Limerick in September 2002. Her current research interests lie in measuring and predicting the stress and strain in the femoral artery by-pass graft.
