Dr. Ryan Enright is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Device Research Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology funded under the IRCSET Inspire program. He received his B.Eng.(Hons) and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Limerick in 2004 and 2008, respectively. A considerable portion of his doctoral work was performed at the Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, NJ studying the use of superhydrophobic surfaces for laminar drag reduction in microchannels under the SFI-funded CTVR program. He was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the CTVR Thermal Management group at the Stokes Institute from 2008 to 2009. His research interests include enhanced surface wettability, microscale transport, phase-change phenomena, electrosorption for water desalination, and thermal management for advanced electronic systems.
